        Hi,

Coming back to get some more research done after the holiday weekend, I go to start SarProz and the initial black window comes up briefly and then flashes a message “Could not …” and then the black window goes away. Not sure what log file to send in this situation.

I’ve tried restarting my computer and still get the same result (running Windows 8.1).

          Hi Mark,
I suppose you are using windows: open a command prompt (cmd.exe)
cd to the sarproz directory (you may need to change disk e.g. with “d:”)
and then launch from the command line the executable main.exe
in this way the black window will not close
and you can read, copy and paste here the message…

(Been a busy, short week work wise–now back to research!)

The error message is: “Could not access the MCR component cache.”

              Hi Mark,
here it says that the cached archive may be corrupted https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/33638-could-not-access-the-mcr-component-cache-error
and it suggests to delete files in the corresponding temporary directory.
Let me know if this helps and if you can find such a directory!
If that is not solving your case, I would also check file permissions. And try to reinstall the MCR.
              Dan

Yes, clearing out the tmp area solved the problem! Thanks, MEH
