so, I have tried this – i used the same master and put only 4 wrong slaves in a “test” project.

(it is strange, even the jpg previews were not generated, i had to do it manually and saw that they are after Slave Extraction from totally different location.. please note that I use precise orbits normally here…)

using the latest (compiled) version, I got some error (attached) when trying to extract slaves.
This was tried in two different datasets (same area, but ascending and descending tracks).
I have manually checked the files and they should contain the overlapping area normally..

I got a strange error.. The processing of S-1 was not in normal way – the TOPS post-processing failed in most of images and sarproz for some reason wants the file names to contain a ‘_VV’.

I was thinking this was caused by mixing old and new version – but not. I have created a new dataset, coregistered S-1 images,…, but when I want to add more SLC images, there is an error after pressing “Set Orbits” – it simply says:
1 detected new images to update

2 images selected with VV polarization

as also Ivana mentioned, I can confirm that the first processing in Small Area is using only one core – SARPROZ says “Connecting to … 23 workers” but it still runs only on one processor. The second processing runs normally in all workers.

I use external DEM but it is shifted. I found out the correction coefficients in WGS-84 (shift is cca 0.025°N and -0.1°E) and used them to correct the Corner Lat/Lon boxes in “External DEM selection”.

Indeed the area should be larger – don’t worry to extend it. To check the small area (after you prepare project using bigger area), there is special Toolbox in Sarproz called Small Area Processing. It works very well!
