periz replied to the topic non-linear deformation question in the forum Sarproz Forum 6 years, 2 months ago
if you have a very good dataset, many images, regular time sampling, good normal baselines dispersion, stable and robust estimation, then go directly with the non-linear model.
if your dataset is not ideal, not many images, not so robust and so on, go with the linear model. then only if you notice problems, you can run a non-linear estimation,…[Read more] -

1. the atmosphere here has nothing to do. if you use the smart function, the linear phase won’t be removed. However, you still have the option to remove it, by choosing “read” on the corresponding line. Clearly, to read it from the disk, you must have previously processed and saved it.
2. if the non-linear model is obtained with a low pass filter,…[Read more] -

Each situation is specific, depending on the area, the data, the objective of the analysis.
I am not going to comment on your case, which would require analyzing many things.
A simple general statement: this website contains a decent amount of information about the QPS approach.
I am reporting here a single link, but there are many more:…[Read more] -

We are just terminating a major update exactly to allow removing wide atmospheric effects and highlight local landslides. Wait maximum an other couple of weeks.

You can plot the estimated APS from the APS module https://sarproz.com/manual/elabora_atmo.html
you can also plot the APS by selecting “choose a real file” in the “plot paramters” module and then browsing to the APS folder https://sarproz.com/manual/plot_par.html
You can also plot an interferogram by removing the estimated APS in the “Single…[Read more] -

Did you plot the interferograms?

periz replied to the topic Warning MT Adaptive Mask in the forum Sarproz Forum 6 years, 3 months ago
That module generates an MT adaptive mask, it does not calculate interferograms.
When you have the adaptive mask, you can use it to filter interferograms.
There is a preset in the InSAR processing options: “multi-temporal apdative”

this is a case where the warning is actually useless, sorry for that
basically the writing function is set to launch a warning when NaNs are inputed (it can be indicative of some issues),
however, in this case NaNs are kept by construction at the borders of the image
you can proceed further, there should be no problem

we would need to see the full log to try to understand.
you might even need to flag the debug mode to pinpoint the step where the message is given

periz replied to the topic Error in coregistration step with ALOS data in the forum Sarproz Forum 6 years, 3 months ago
There is not much more to add. Take a bigger reference window, lower the SNR and the correlation thresholds, lower the minimum number of points. are you processing the full frame? if not, do it.
but the question is: what are you using these data for? for sure, no interferometry will be possible.
if you just want to plot the amplitude, you can…[Read more] -

1. next time zip the log before attaching it
2. next time read the messages from the sw. if you do what the sw tells you to do, we all save time. specifically, the sw told you to manually unzip the downloaded orbits files
3. you have also the option to do things manually. read well the link you posted:…[Read more] -

periz replied to the topic APS Test lowest coherence master date in the forum Sarproz Forum 6 years, 3 months ago
Sarproz estimates a residual phase that can be attributed to the Master image.
I do not fully understand your meaning. Let’s say you have Image0 as Master and you get a low coherence at Image0. Then you change the reference image and you set Image1 as your Master. In this second case, which one is getting a low coherence value, Image0 or Image1…[Read more] -

Option A. just check the folder where data/results are saved. if your result is a full matrix, you will find also a jpeg image. E.g. in FITTED you find jpegs of each image. For map changes (in RESULTSCHDETECT), if they have been filtered, most of the area is zero, they are saved as sparse mat files, you can load them in matlab.
Option B. you…[Read more]

periz replied to the topic Persistent Scatterers steps and interferograms generation in the forum Sarproz Forum 6 years, 3 months ago
It looks like somehow my previous answer to this post went lost…
In your recap you list 3 main steps.
The first 2 are common to all Time-Series approaches.
The third one corresponds to the classic Persistent Scatterers method.
If you want to apply other methods, you might need to process interferograms first.
Also, in some cases you do not use…[Read more] - Load More
